Job Description
The Qualified Professional (QP) for supported living is responsible for the clinical supervision of residential programs and services. The QP is a liaison with other service providers, including the person’s care coordinator. The QP has a primary role in developing, monitoring, and assuring the quality of services and supports for everyone served. This position requires the ability to teach and assess the performance of direct service personnel. Previous experience in these areas is highly recommended.

Effective communication and advanced documentation skills are requirements of this position.

The QP must have a working knowledge of regulatory rules and laws that govern the services provided by Compact Health Services. Attention to detail, organizational skills and efficient time management skills are necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
The QP must have the educational and experiential requirements as set forth by the State of North Carolina that fulfills the requirements of a “Qualified Professional”. The minimum requirement is a master’s degree with one-year experience in the field, a bachelor’s degree in human services related field with two years post-graduation experience, or a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with four years post-graduation experience. The QP is supervised by the Director of Supported Living.

Responsibilities

Monitor staff’s provision of services and interactions with people served

Complete person specific and service provision training for direct service staff

Ensure PI’s are educated on all changes to a person served plan throughout the year
-
Conduct site visits at varying times and days, including some weekends
-
Review documentation including goal data and goal notes
-
Conduct record reviews at least biannually
-
Review and edit monthly and quarterly notes
-
Facilitate DHSR (Department of Health Service Regulation) surveys and other monitoring
-
Prepare for and participate in audits
-
Review notes to ensure that all the billing documentation requirements from various funding sources have been met
-
Ensure that the persons served have received all the services for which they have been authorized

Ensure timely submission of SAL’s and other documentation for billing services
-
Work with the billing department to resolve unpaid claims
-
Present relevant clinical information during clinical meetings and annual plans
-
Coordinate implementation of new plans and goals
-
Assist with physician/psychiatric services appointments
-
Ensure that progress information and authorizations are copied to clinical home
-
Work with house managers to link and coordinate community resources
-
Communicate changes to all entities that are involved with the person served plan

Requirements
-
(2) years of professional experience with the child mental health population
-
Must be able to pass drug screening
-
Must pass criminal and driver’s records check
-
Must have reliable transportation and a valid NC Driver’s License
